Rodenbach is the unique and original "Vlaanderen Red Ale," recognized as a traditional local product. Mixed primary fermentation and maturation in oak barrels ("foeders") give it the same sweet-sour flavor and complex fruitiness as wine. Rodenbach is made with three-quarters of young beer and one-quarter of beer aged for two years in oak. It's very refreshing and tasty: the perfect aperitif or session beer! Since 1821.
