West Coast Double IPA, 18°Blg A Double IPA from the US West Coast is characterized by several things. The beer must be saturated with hops, have an intense bitterness, and a dry taste. To maximize the aroma of citrus and fruity hops, the brewers used DryHopnik: a special system for grinding hop pellets and circulating them in the beer during maturation. Double dry-hopping and a short maturation period ensure the freshest and most intense aroma of a double IPA.
