Phase Three Hugs 2024 Barleywine - 35 CL

Nineteen months ago, the brewers conceptualized a barley wine that would complement what has become one of our most sought-after beers, Arabesque. While Arabesque pushes barley wine to its limits, utilizing a rather complex grain count and reaching for color at the high end of the SRM scale, the brewers took a more simplistic approach with Kentucky malts. This more traditional barley wine is made with Maris Otter Base Malt, with only three different caramel malts on top. Aged for 19 months in younger Hemel Hill Bourbon Casks, this barley wine focuses more on caramel and nuanced cask character.
