St.Bernardus Abt 12 is widely regarded as one of the best beers in the world and thus the true flagship of our brewery. It is brewed in the classic quadrupel style and follows the original recipe from 1946. Did you know that on every thousandth label of a 33-centiliter bottle, St.Bernardus winks? St.Bernardus Abt 12 is a dark, top-fermented beer with a robust, ivory-colored head. It has a very fruity aroma resulting from the use of our own unique yeast. It bursts with various complex flavors and is noted for its long, bittersweet finish. It is an ideal partner for rich beef dishes and game recipes. It also pairs perfectly with blue cheese and chocolate.
