Purper - Barrel-aged wild light beer with buckwheat, lavender and aronia. Nostalgic, soft and sour beer, aged for 3 months in oak barrels. We've created something that evokes 'coziness.' Purper is best described as a childhood visit to your dearest grandmother. Do you remember her making pancakes with cinnamon and syrup for you, while her homemade apple pie cooled on the windowsill? There was an old Persian rug in the hallway, small potpourri sachets in her linen closet, and she grew fragrant roses and lavender in her garden. All these homely scents and flavors can be found in Purper, perhaps the most nostalgic beer you've ever tasted. It is a dry, slightly bitter wild beer with a light malty body and intense aromatics reminiscent of apple pie. The lavender is subtly woven through this beer in a warm way; a rose-like floral presence with a hint of cinnamon.
