For Indulgence 28, the brewers selected three notable bourbon barrels: Sazerac Rye, Weller Wheated, and Eagle Rare. Each bourbon has its own personality and represents a distinct mash bill of rye, wheat, or corn. Sazerac barrels bring soft spices and toasted oak; Weller adds roundness and a soft vanilla sweetness; and Eagle Rare offers elegance, warmth, and depth. Together they create something truly unique. This stout has been matured for 21 months and 24 days and unfolds in layers. From the first pour, Indulgence 28 reveals its character: a dense, velvety stout with aromas of chocolate ganache, fudge, and roasted nuts. Then come notes of caramel, coconut, and bourbon cream, supported by subtle oak tannins and a lingering warmth that invites slow appreciation.
