In 1870, Willem Geenen brewed his first beer in the barn next to the eighty-year-old lime tree. In honour of the brewery's 155th anniversary, the brewers are adding a masterpiece to his legacy: Willem's Quadrupel. A high-fermentation Quadrupel, brewed in the tradition of Belgian abbey beers with subtle notes of caramel, toffee, dried figs, and a hint of toasted bread. Its dark colour reveals its deep maltiness, while the refined hop bitterness beautifully balances the whole. This beer comes to life after an extra-long maturation period in the cool, dark cellars of the brewery. Here, you can taste the result of generations of craftsmanship – with attention, patience, and the conviction that good beer takes time.
