Lervig Off The Rack Paragon By Rackhouse 2023 Barleywine - 75 CL

We often leave behind a few exceptional barrels from previous batches to use in our Off The Rack series. This year, the brewers selected a few mature barrels from 2022 and 2023. Because they tasted great, the brewers decided to do an OTR blend of vintages for this year’s release. We took our best barrels with the higher ABV due to the angels’ share of evaporation in Jim Beam barrels over the year and infused them with the nearly 3-year-old Heaven Hill-matured Paragon 22. There are plenty more deep notes of caramel and toffee, dried fruits and even a subtle licorice note, finished off with a seriously nice mouthfeel that fills your palate with oaky, bourbon-like warmth.
