This barrel-aged beer represents a collaboration between tradition and innovation. A place where monks meet punks. Brewed and barrel-aged within the walls of Abbey Our Lady of Koningshoeven in the autumn of 2020. The name stems from both breweries' desire to leave the world better than they found it. Therefore, a portion of the proceeds is donated to Made Blue. This initiative provides clean drinking water to everyone for whom it is not self-evident. With the total donation, Made Blue can provide nearly five thousand people in developing countries with clean drinking water for ten years.The barrel-aged Practise What You Preach has matured for 9 months in Scottish Whisky barrels. The beer has a dark copper color with a fine and soft head, which remains present in the glass for a long time.The influence of American hops is clearly present in the aroma; the floral notes have been surprisingly well preserved during maturation. In the background, the Whisky also subtly reaches the nose.The beer starts sweet and gradually transitions to spicy with a pleasant bitterness. The taste is reminiscent of licorice, with influences of Whisky, stone fruit, oak, and vanilla. The beer has an alcohol-warming finish with a gentle tingle in the throat.
