Jopen Mooie Nel IPA - 33 CL

Jopen Northsea IPA is an IPA (India Pale Ale) or, in old Dutch, a 'Duraebel Scheepsbier' (Durable Ship's Beer). These beerswere brewed extra strong and extra hopped so that they could be taken on long sea voyages to the Dutch East Indies (present-day Indonesia). Nowadays, this type of beer is making a comeback as American brewers are revitalizing this brewing style. This hoppy amber beer is named after the lake between Spaarndam and Haarlem, the Mooie Nel. After fermentation, the beer received an extra hop addition to the tank to give it a distinct hop character. Silver medal winner Brussels Beer Challenge 2014.
