Hertog Jan Proeftuin #13: Barrel-Aged Barley Wine - 50 CL

We like to offer our members a barrel-aged beer if a good opportunity arises.
In 2023, this was our Testing Garden Wheat Wine on XO Cognac barrels from France.

When we were in the USA regarding the Kentucky Whiskey barrels for 2024 we also came across Brandy barrels from California with powerful aromas.
We chose our beautiful Grand Prestige as the mother beer for this barrel-aged version of the Proeftuin because it proved to be a perfect match.

These Brandy barrels are made from American white oak and this provides a strong pallet next to taste notes like bourbon, wine, apple and peach.

A great way to start the Testing Ground in 2025 together. Cheers!
