Hertog Jan Dubbel is a traditional top-fermenting dark beer. The term 'Dubbel' refers to the double amount of ingredients used. Hertog Jan Dubbel is tasted by all the senses, allowing for an optimal enjoyment of colour, aroma and flavour. First, you pour it into a glass and marvel at the foam and the beautiful reddish brown colour. Then you smell the full, soft aroma. You take a sip and taste the rich, malty character. And finally, you enjoy the slightly sweet aftertaste. This traditional beer has an alcohol percentage of 7.3%. The secondary fermentation in the bottle creates a fresher and richer flavour and aroma.
