Hertog Jan Grand Prestige Vatgerijpt Masterbend is a mix of flavours, opportunities, experiences and ingredients to create the ultimate taste sensation. This masterblend is inspired by unique and one-off barrels from the worlds of whisky, Calvados, Bourbon, Cherry Liqueur, Pineau, Mezcal and even red pepper: brought together in one perfect harmony. The red pepper deserves an extra mention in this taste story. Micha did not add the spices directly to the beer, but used barrels that were used for fermentation processes. The red pepper barrel combined with just the grand prestige was perhaps a bit too intense for the average beer lover, but gives an extra dimension in this unique mix.
