Bourbon & Rye Barrel Aged Imperial Stout with toasted coconut and coffee. Yes, the entire volume was aged in three rounds of barrels: round one: Elijah Craig, Four Roses and Willett. Round two: all Buffalo Trace. Round three: Sazerac Rye and Russell's Reserve. 23 months total time resting in wood. So much work to source wood and carefully move the beer from barrel to barrel to yield a wondrous behemoth stout. Featuring a standard touch of coconut and half the coffee the brewers usually press, Triple Barrel Benthic will have you wanting to mess around with Demerara™ and finish it all off with candied Luxardos™. A touch of spice, flaming marshmallow, a hairy ape hug of brown liquor, and a hat tip to the barrel team.
