Twenty or so freshly dumped Jamaican rum barrels headed for the United States led us to a small dose of Amburana barrel stock for its baking spices, predating coconut, and a fruity Marquesas Island vanilla. We wanted to drink the islands. Rum drinks, fruit, cherry, and bubble gum sprinkled on gooey chocolate stout laffy taffy. Duncan says it's like having Elvis sing to you in a Cantonese restaurant, and I think he's right.
