Bourbon County Bananas Foster Stout welcomes another member to the family this year, making its national debut. This recipe was first released in 2017 as Bourbon County Brand Proprietor’s Stout, exclusively for Chicago drinkers. Loved by many, this release is particularly close to the heart of our innovation brewer, Quinn Fuechsl.⁠ ⁠ ⁠ When the brewers first released this beer, the brewery hadn't done much experimentation with bananas. However, Quinn had a good feeling that the fruit, along with almond and cassia bark, would be perfect ingredients for a bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout – and he was indeed right. This decadent pour is sure to bring a bit of flair to your palate, balanced with deep caramelization, aromas of freshly baked banana bread, and warm notes of cinnamon and almond.
