Frontal No Way Out Barleywine - 33 CL

Põhjala is one of those breweries where we asked ourselves: “Why haven't we worked with these guys all these years?” After a first meeting in 2023 at their festival, the idea for a sturdy barleywine was born. We opted for a completely different way of brewing this beer. Due to the enormous amounts of malt, we had to double mash, and after the first yeast starter, there was no way out. By using Munich malt as a base, along with Carared, Cara160, and Dark Crystal, this Barleywine has a layered sweetness throughout the beer. The high sugar content gave the beer a thick mouthfeel yet still drinkable, exactly how we like our Barleywines. To bring it all together, we added a touch of salt and caramel to elevate “No Way Out” to the next level.
