Duvel Duvel Barrel Aged Batch 1 2017 - 75 CL

Our brewers have conducted an exciting taste experiment: maturing Duvel in old, wooden barrels. Of course, it is not only nostalgia that drives our brewers, but also the will and passion to use this old technique to discover new flavors and aspects of Duvel. Our brewers have selected oak bourbon barrels and are now taking their time - a lot of time - to let the flavors and aromas of the barrels and the beer influence and enrich each other. Because the beer will mature longer, this "barrel-aged" Duvel will be darker in colour than the traditional Duvel, with a higher alcohol percentage and less bitterness.
