De Kromme Herring Marbendill Porter - 33 CL

Marbendill is the result of a very fun day at the brewery with Stulli and Hylgur from Borg Brugghús in Iceland. As with all of our collaborations, the recipe is a bit strange. This time, the brewers took a Baltic porter-inspired base, but fermented it 100% with Brettanomyces yeast. The result is an interesting beer with a complex palette of red fruits, chocolate, dark roast and spices. Weird, in a good way, just like the Marbendill itself, the half-man/half-seal creature said to roam Icelandic waters.
