De Garde The Kriekenmaak 2019 Ale - 75 CL

This beer spends an average of two years aging in oak barrels after a night in our coolship. After this long aging period, the beer is transferred to secondary oak barrels with many Montmorency and Morello sour cherries. After a prolonged re-fermentation, the beer is again transferred onto whole Tahitian and Madagascar vanilla beans and whole Ceylon cinnamon sticks. Finally, the blend is assembled, packaged, and naturally conditioned in bottle and keg. We don't want this beer to taste exactly like a cherry pie, but rather to complement the naturally occurring herbal and vanillin characteristics that re-fermentation with sour cherries brings forth.
