No true birthday without a birthday cake! We teamed up with bean-to-bar chocolatier Mayoy Cacao to find a blend of Venezuelan cacao beans, giving this extra special edition of MCI a broader flavour. We chose to explore a single variety of cacao and how the brewers can harness and enhance the individual flavours of the fruity and more robust Venezuelan cacao nibs. The result is an incredibly silky, icy layer on the palate, a slightly dark berry jamminess on the nose with a perfectly balanced, decadent chocolate taste, balanced alongside a complex, savoury umami flavour. Truly a birthday party in a can.
