Chimay Première red 2012 Double - 75 CL

First sold in 75cl (25.4 fl.oz.) bottles, it is known for its copper colour and was the first beer brewed by the monks of Chimay in 1862. Topped with a creamy head, it spreads a light, fruity apricot aroma, produced by the fermentation. The taste perceived in the mouth is a balance that confirms the fruity nuances noted in the nose. The taste, which gives a silky feeling on the tongue, is made refreshing by a light bitterness. In the mouth, the taster experiences a pleasant tartness that complements the taste qualities of this beer very harmoniously. This top-fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurized.
