Chimay Première red 2012 Double - 75 CL

First sold in 75 cl (25.4 fl.oz.) bottles, it is known for its copper color and is the first beer brewed by the monks of Chimay in 1862. Topped with a creamy head, it releases a light, fruity apricot aroma, produced by fermentation. The taste perceived in the mouth is a balance that confirms the fruity nuances noted in the aroma. The taste, which provides a silky feel on the tongue, is made refreshing by a slight bitterness. In the mouth, the taster experiences a pleasant tartness that complements the taste qualities of this beer very harmoniously. This high-fermentation Trappist beer, re-fermented in the bottle, is not pasteurized.
