Brewery Sint-Bernardus Prior 8 1998 Quadrupel - 33 CL

St.Bernardus Prior 8 is a traditional abbey beer and is also called dark tripel. The original recipe dates from the time when the brewers still brewed under license (1946-1992). Voted 'World's Best Dark Belgian Style Dubbel' at the World Beer Awards, or the best Dubbel beer in the world. St. Bernardus Prior 8 is chestnut brown, radiates a deep red glow and has a beautiful round head. The beer stands out for its fruity aroma, reminiscent of tree fruits such as red apples, but supplemented with exotic accents of figs and dates. The whole is perfectly rounded off by impressions of caramel and roasted malt. The full taste is malty and fruity in equal measure and achieves the perfect balance between bitter and sweet.
