St.Bernardus Abt 12 is widely regarded as one of the best beers in the world and, as such, is the true flagship of our brewery. It is brewed in the classic quadrupel style and follows the original recipe from 1946. Did you know that on every thousandth label of a 33-centiliter bottle, St.Bernardus winks? St.Bernardus Abt 12 is a dark, top-fermented beer with a robust, ivory-coloured head. It has a very fruity aroma, which is the result of using our own unique yeast. It bursts with various, complex flavours and stands out due to its long, bittersweet aftertaste. It is an ideal partner for rich beef dishes and game recipes. It also pairs perfectly with blue cheese and chocolate.
