Brewery Het Anker Maneblusser Blond - 33 CL

Brouwerij Het Anker decided to brew an easy-to-drink city beer for the people of Mechelen, yet spicy enough to enjoy it to the fullest. We brew a heroic beer called Maneblusser. It is a blond beer with an alcohol content of 6.2% vol. in which you taste a subtle citrus aroma and a nice aftertaste. Maneblusser is brewed according to the traditional method of top fermentation with refermentation in the bottle. The inspiration for this brew originates from the night of January 27 in the year 1687. The moon projected its reddish glow onto St. Rumbold's Tower, which was shrouded in a dense fog. "Fire, fire, the tower is on fire!" shouts the somber voice of a drunk man. The alarm went off and people rushed to help put out the so-called fire. Before reaching the tower, the moon moved slowly through the mist. From that moment on, the people of Mechelen are called the Maneblussers or “Moon extinguishers”.
