In 2015, the 'Beer Geeks' Facebook group lost a prominent member to the muscle disease ALS, after which it was decided in 2018 to brew a beer with as many Dutch breweries as possible. All proceeds go to the ALS Foundation. Since that year, the 'Beer Geeks Beat ALS' campaign has been organized every year by this fanatic group of beer fanatics, with a different beer every year. This has now resulted in more than 300,000 euros for the ALS Foundation. What you are holding in your hands is this year's beer! Unfortunately still needed as there is no medicine or cure for this deadly muscle disease. The Beer Geeks will not stop until ALS is out of the world.
