Bokke Wijngaard Saison 2018 Lambic/Geuze - 75 CL

A blend of Fantôme saison brewed in 2017 with 2 and 3-year-old lambic and grapes. Bottled April 2019. In early September 2018, the brewers went on a trip to Italy and returned with a magnificent harvest of Malvasia di Candia Aromatica from La Stoppa winery in Emilia Romagna and Moscato Bianco from Ezio Cerruti in Piedmont. For the final blend of this beer, the brewers added more clarity by blending a lambic with the 2017 Muscaris grape harvest from Haspengouw. The tannins and peppery notes from prolonged skin maceration, together with the floral aromas of the grapes, work synergistically with the phenols and esters of the saison, contributing to the complexity and balance of this blend.
