Lucky Blood Red 2021 Lambic/Geuze - 75 cl

Kriek 2021 with Merlot grapes. During the 2021 cherry harvest, the brewers processed 3 different types of cherries. This blend mainly contains NordKriek and a small amount of Kelleris. These come from local growers in the Antwerp region, a fruit-growing area that had almost completely disappeared but has recently seen some new initiatives. The maturation took place in ex-Burgundy and ex-Bordeaux barrels. The Merlot used by the brewers is the barrel-aged version of our PET Bière 2021, after a period of 9 months in an ex-Burgundy and ex-lambic barrel. The name of this beer was chosen just days before the sale, after a difficult period for many of us. 2022 will go down in history as a bloody red/pitch black year. And also a tribute to the healthcare sector that has given blood, sweat and tears.
