3 Fonteinen Twist of Fate XI.viii: Plum: Early Tolse 2020 Lambic/Geuze - 75 CL

Blend n° 2 • 14/12/2020 • bottles: 614 This version of our Pruim was created using the Vroege Tolse plum variety. We harvested these plums on a beautiful morning in July 2020, from the splendid fruit orchard of a retired teacher named Willy. His field is located on the Wijngaardberg, on the border between Gelrode and Rotselaar. We macerated the whole plums (with pits) for almost five months in an oak barrel. We used two-year-old lambic for the maceration and young lambic for blending. The final fruit intensity is 519 grams of plums per litre. 75% of the lambic was brewed with grains from the Pajottenland. 100% 3 Fonteinen brewed lambic. Brouwerij 3 Fonteinen “Speling van het Lot” (Twist of Fate) is a series of experimental brews, barrel maturations, fruit macerations and small-batch blends.
