Blend N ° 24 • Bottling date: 15/01/2020 • Bottle count: 969 For these PRUIM games, the brewers macerated two different plum varieties from Wijndomein Hoenhof: Geleida and Opal. We secured a small, 1000-liter roasted cask from our friends at Garbellotto, a small family-run cooperative. We macerated the plums, stone and all, for nearly five months in two different young Lambics. We bottled the fruit Lambic straight from the barrel. Brouwerij 3 Fonteinen "Spelen van het lot" (Twist of Fate) is a series of small batch experimental brews, barrel-matured brews, fruit macerations and blends. This 11th edition contains a series of plum-like fruit macerations. About 60 years ago, there were over 200 old plum varieties in and around Belgium, now nearly extinct. The ambition is to track down and experiment with these old local varieties and to cultivate them again with local farmers and enthusiasts.
