La Trappe Quadrupel Oak Aged Batch 1 2010 - 37.5 CL
La Trappe Quadrupel Oak Aged Batch 1 2010 - 37.5 CL
BATCH 18 (blended in October 2014) was divided as follows: Type BATCH Moscatel 50% Brandy 17% Oloroso 16.5% New Oak High Toast 16.5% This Oak Aged Batch 18 is basically the smaller brother of Batch 17 and therefore has a copper-brown colour and a mixture of muscat and Quadrupel aromas. In addition to the clear presence of grapes, you can also clearly recognise date and vanilla flavours. This batch has a more smoky flavour, because new burnt wood was used. However, the wood tannins are less prominent. As a result, the aromas are softer and creamier, giving the consumer a complex yet very accessible flavour. Characteristics muscat: fruity: orange blossom, honey, light orange, raisin; flowery: rose, geranium, lily; spicy: tobacco leaves, cider, cloves.
